The River Dee and River Don are two of Scotland's great fishing rivers located in that area and there are plenty of other waters to choice from. You could variety try a variety of fishing such as wild brown trout in the mountain lochs, salmon fishing on the Dee and rainbow trout from lochs close to Ballater.
The River Dee is the top spring salmon river in the world; you might want to fish here from February to – May.
The River Don is a top class brown trout river and salmon.
