Eat & Drink
Adjacent to Glencoe Inn, sits The Glencoe Gathering. A more informal, contemporary ‘posh’ fish and chips house. Although a more casual form of dining than The Inn, The Gathering doesn’t compromise on quality of food. Head Chef – Leonard Ngomo Kivuvwa hails from Kenya and has lived in Oban for the last 12 years.
The Gathering menu has been created together using only the finest ingredients, from Haddock to Lobster and from Heritage Burgers to the finest cuts of beef used for our Steaks, very popular menu with locals and visitors alike. Seafood, fish, speciality lobster, langoustines, and abundance of local produce, guarantee an authentic Scottish fare.
The Glencoe Gathering is a good call if you fancy popping in for a pint and hearty dinner. There’s a surprising selection on the menu, not your typical burger and beer kind of pub grub, but the likes of a special griddle section, black pudding, scallops and poached egg, and handmade haddock and thick cut chips making for an eclectic mix. The setting is unique, relaxed and stylish and the friendly vibe and contemporary music makes this a low-key hangout for peckish passers-by.
Plus there’s live music at weekends which keeps the place alive with energy and makes this a staple location for anyone looking to support Scottish traditions - music, grub and scenic locations. The arrangement of the tables and the seating in the establishment encourages conversation and communion - a sense that this is a community gathering.
Glencoe Gathering is a popular meeting place for walkers, skiers, mountain bikers, ramblers and locals alike who come together for the combination of panoramic views and great food washed down with local ales, whiskys, banter and live music. The Glencoe Gathering has everything you would expect from your local pub but with a touch of something special… Enjoy live music from singers and musicians, play a game of pool, have a dram or two at the bar or stick a tune on the jukebox and kick back with a plate of great food.
The Glencoe Gathering is a haven in the Scottish Highlands to relax in a warm and friendly setting. Menus change seasonally so only the best Scottish and British produce is used to make sure the dishes really hit the spot.
We believe greatly in locally sourced ingredients, high quality and seasonal produce for our menus, which means occasionally dishes from our advertised menus may be unavailable.
