Popped in to the gathering for lunch on a drive to Glencoe with my son and nephew. The restaurant is very relaxed with nice contemporary, albeit basic interior. Staff very welcoming. The children ordered panninis and chips and choose the homemade carrot and coriander soup with homemade soda bread. The boys played a game of pool while we waited for the food to arrive.
My soup was delicious and the soda bread was Devine! The boys enjoyed their panninis and the chips were the best I have ever tasted!! Would highly recommend for lunch. Jersey, TripAvisor
Tasty food and good beer!
After a long day of travel and before a long evening of hiking and walking, we decided to stop at the Glencoe Gathering to "fuel up". The beers were cold, the menu was varied, and the service was really good. My husband and I split the Cheese and Biscuits appetizer and then had the haddock and the Heritage burger. The ONLY problem we encountered during our meal was that the burger wasn't served with any condiments (it's supposed to come with red onion chutney)...no worries. I walked up to the counter and they immediately corrected the problem. XCrun12345 from Leiden, The Netherlands, Aug 6, 2015
Great Pub - should be busier
We were staying at Invercoe Caravan park and went to the restaurant for dinner. We didn't book but the staff were extremely helpful and got us a dog friendly table for dinner. After dinner we went to the pub next door where there was live music. One guy and his guitar played a set for about 2 hours and he was really good. The bar is well appointed, reasonable priced but on a Saturday in August only about a quarter full. Having seen a load of people turned away from the restaurant it seems silly not to provide some basic pub food into the evening instead of just the 12-6pm it does now.
