CRERAR HOTELS STALWART APPOINTED AS CLUSTER MANAGER FOR ICONIC DUO OF HOTELS

Marc Gardner celebrates 17 Years of service with AA Small Hotel Group of the Year with promotion to Cluster GM of Oban Bay Hotel and Glencoe Inn & Gathering

Marc Gardner has been appointed as Cluster General Manager of Crerar Hotel’s Oban Bay Hotel and the Glencoe Inn & Gathering, in recognition of his long service to the award-winning hospitality business, and confirming its commitment to promoting, nurturing and growing its own talent. Marc - an accomplished and successful General Manager - has been with Crerar Hotel’s for 17 years and takes on the elevated role following four years as General Manager of the Oban Bay Hotel and twelve years previously as General Manager at the Group’s iconic Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa in Inveraray. 

Bringing with him more than 30 years of industry experience, Marc started life in the hospitality sector as a porter at the age of 14, working his way up to waiter before taking on a number of management roles including Deputy General Manager, before securing his first General Manager position with the Swallow Hilltop Hotel in Carlisle, aged 28. Following some time in Edinburgh, Marc joined Crerar Hotels Group in 2006 and hasn’t looked back since.
