Fonab Castle welcomes well-established Scottish hotelier Peter Walker as General Manager

The renowned five-star hotel, Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa has appointed a well-established hotelier to take on the role of General Manager. Peter Walker has taken the reins at the luxury castle hotel with twenty-five years’ experience in the industry at some of the northeast of Scotland’s most recognised hotels in the business.

A Master Innholder, a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and a Hospitality Action Ambassador, Peter is a stalwart within the industry, aiming to drive forward Fonab Castle as one of Scotland’s most loved five-star hotels. Prior to joining Fonab Castle, Peter was previously Managing Director of Maryculter House in Aberdeen, one of the country’s most historic hotels, for more than five years, delivering excellent results in employee engagement, guest satisfaction and revenue growth. Before this, Peter also worked at Ardoe House, Marcliffe Hotel & Spa and Meldrum Country House Hotel & Golf Club, where he successfully oversaw the repositioning of the hotel.
