In the grounds, Diana's Grove is a fine planting of tall trees, originally laid out in 1737. Hercules Garden was also designed in the mid 18th century forming a walled garden of some 9 acres which has recently been restored.
Inside the castle a spectacular display of arms and armour greets the visitor on arrival in the main entrance hall.

Established in 1798 in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Blair Athol Distillery is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland. The distillery produces a 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, with a mellow deep-toned aroma, a strong fruity flavour and a smooth finish.

A crannog is a type of ancient loch-dwelling found throughout Scotland and Ireland dating from 5,000 years ago. The Scottish Crannog Centre features a unique reconstruction of an early Iron Age loch-dwelling, built by the Scottish Trust for Underwater Archaeology(STUA).

The history of Dunkeld can be traced to the ninth century when it emerged as an important religious centre for the early Celtic Church. No building of this period survives, the present Cathedral dates from 1318. Partly destroyed during the Reformation (1560), the choir is, roofed and now selves as the parish church for regular Sunday worship. The rest of the cathedral is ruinous, but is preserved as an Ancient Monument in the care of Historic Scotland.

The golf course is situated only two miles from the geographic centre of Scotland, and is surrounded by some of Scotland's most beautiful, natural countryside. Included in the surrounding area around the growing settlement of Pitlochry lie the Grampian Mountains to the north, including Ben-Y-Vrackie which stands over looking the town and also the River Tummel, which flows through Loch Faskally and meanders in a southeastwardly direction towards the communities of Ballinluig and Dunkeld.
