Relax in the sumptuous setting of our elegantly appointed Green Lady restaurant, where you can linger over a mouth-watering range of menus, prepared by our team of chefs. The menus have an innovative touch with an insistence on fresh ingredients and local produce.
For a more informal meal, our basement bar provides a relaxing setting with superb food. Try one of our Scottish farm assured, juicy steaks – sometimes from our own Crerar herd. Unwind in the ambience of this basement bar and sample our extensive fine wines which have been recommended by our very own wine merchant, choose a whisky from our neat selection or sip on one of our exquisite cocktails.
Thainstone House provides many areas for relaxation throughout your break including: the Club Room, featuring its own bar, real wood fire, comfortable couches and views out across our acres of grounds; the Drawing Room, which opens into the Club Room shares this bar and offers further views across our grounds and beyond; and the Laird Room offers a smaller space filled with stuffed armchairs and natural day light.
Our upper and lower galleries are also scattered with appealing seating areas, perfect for sharing a bottle of wine or a cup of coffee with friends, or for a quiet corner with your newspaper or to ponder your day.
If you would like to order any food or drinks at any time throughout your stay and find any of our bars unmanned, please feel free to ask any member of staff who will be delighted to assist you in any way that they can.
A snooker room is also located on the same floor as the basement bar. For snooker balls, please simply ask at reception.
