The Faskally Restaurant is decorated with traditional countryside pictures; images synonymous with the surrounding Perthshire countryside. This combined with a tartan and tweed theme, creates a real Scottish feel to the dining room.
The 100 seat restaurant features a row of large windows within one wall, filling the room with light in the day time, and providing a view out over the Perthshire mountains. The Faskally Restaurant has a small snug area off the main space which is popular for private dining. Just ask us for further information on this. Dress code is smart casual so we invite you to dress however you feel most comfortable.
For dinner, choose from a three course daily changing taster menu or à la carte menu. Residential guests staying on an inclusive dinner, bed and breakfast break dine from the three course dinner menu or are welcome to choose form the à la carte at a supplement.
Dinner menus are updated seasonally, and always feature Scottish Farm Assured beef, featured in our grill section. Take advantage of Scotland’s outdoor larder with the best in seasonal vegetables, locally sourced, where we can.
Breakfast is a big deal across all Crerar Hotels, and we invite you to begin the meal with a buffet of cereals, mini muffins, croissants, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurt, tea, coffee and fruit juices. Following this we offer a number of hot choices including a full Scottish breakfast, porridge, eggs Benedict or Florentine and smoked haddock with poached farm eggs.
Children aged under 15 can choose to dine from the Young Diner’s menu or we can provide half portions of most dishes from the taster or à la carte menus.
If there is something that you fancy that you are unable to see on the menu, please let us know, and if our chef has the ingredients, he’ll be happy to make this for you.
Scotland's Hotel & Leisure Club head chef, John Goldie, has worked in the restaurant and hospitality business for almost 27 years in varied parts of the catering industry, amassing a whole wealth of valuable knowledge and experience from corporate hospitality, to à la carte and fine dining restaurants around Scotland, including head chef at St Andrews House, catering for our secretary of Scotland for almost two years.
Having been with Crerar Hotels for nearly two years, first at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa in Inveraray before joining Scotland’s Hotel more recently, John shares Crerar Hotels passion and dedication to achieving a high quality dining experience for customers by creating seasonally tailored menus, incorporating the finest seafood dishes, succulent meat dishes (which on occasion is from our Crerar Hotels Home Farm in Haddington) and exciting vegetarian dishes, all sourced from sustainable suppliers delivered to the kitchen daily.
John and his team pride themselves on the delivery and attention to detail of each dish on the menu which is freshly made to order, giving customer’s food made with thought, care and passion, and a high quality service.
In 2015, head chef John Goldie has plans to add a collection of local produce suppliers to his kitchen stocks helping to keep his menus full of seasonal dishes. John is spending his free time sourcing these suppliers and engaging them with his vision for Scotland's Hotel & Leisure Club.
We believe greatly in locally sourced ingredients, high quality and seasonal produce for our menus, which means occasionally dishes from our advertised menus may be unavailable.
Located directly within the famous Malt Whisky Trail, Scotland's Hotel & Leisure Club holds whisky close to our heart. We stock over 40 single malts including Edradour, Pitlochry’s very own whisky and home to the smallest distillery in Scotland. Ask our bartender to recommend their favourites…
Our wine list has been created by our long standing and trusted wine merchant, Tarquin de Burgh, who has specially selected the collection based on varying flavours and characters, mixing traditional with the new world – and all at real value by the bottle.
A selection of local ales, draft lagers and beer are also available from the bar.
