A light breakfast of fruits, cereals, yoghurts, toast with Scottish butter and jams, coffee and a selection of teas. Or all of the above and a menu that includes Eggs Benedict, cinnamon French toast, peat smoked salmon, Finnan haddie and our house plate of smoked back bacon, farm egg, highlander sausage, haggis, Charles Macleod Stornoway black pudding and a grilled tomato. Local connections give our head chef access to game from HM The Queen’s estate at Balmoral. Salmon plucked from the River Dee also makes a seasonal appearance on our menus.
Our lunch menu offers a selection of traditional favourites with soup and lighter bites for those looking for a quick lunch, and more substantial options with our haddock and chips and steak pie being popular options. We always have a choice of roasts for our guests with all the traditional accompaniments; homemade Yorkies and gravy, roast tatties and plenty of veggies. Three courses are available and our starters and desserts – as well as our choice of vegetables in your main course – depend on seasonality and what is available to source locally, week to week.
Our Scottish meats are farm-assured, while our steaks are traditionally matured for a minimum of 28 days to ensure maximum flavour, tenderness and quality.
We work with a range of farmers and artisan suppliers to source home-grown and reared produce wherever possible.
