Dunollie Castle

Dunollie Castle sits above the town offering spectacular views of Oban Bay and the island of Kerrara. Along with the castle, visitors can explore the museum and grounds. 
Opening details: Monday - Saturday 10am - 4pm, Sundays 1pm - 4pm (March to October). Closed for winter (November to March).
Admission details: Adults £4 and under 16s £2.


Oban War & Peace Museum

Just off the main high street, this museum is worth a visit as it contains some great artifacts from past wars. The staff are extremely informative and helpful, so worth having a chat with.

McCaig's Tower

Named as one of Britain’s most iconic buildings, McCaig's Tower sits on Battery Hill, a Coliseum-like structure built in 1900 by Stuart McCaig to provide a lasting memory to his family. Walk to the top of the hill and experience spectacular views of Oban.

Oban distillery can be part of a day’s tour around the town. Located centrally on a steep cliff, the distillery produces one of Scotland’s oldest fine malt whiskies.
