  • Sale is halted; buyer unable to complete, 20th October 2017

Privately owned Crerar Hotel Group Ltd, a hospitality company of wholly owner-operated hotels under the brand of Crerar Hotels (EST 2006) and easybreaks.com, advise that their talks for a planned sale to Thai backed FICO Castle have ended following FICO Castle’s failure to deliver to contract.

A spokesman for Crerar said, “Following a period of extended reflection we can confirm that we are no longer continuing discussions (for the sale of Crerar Hotels or easy-breaks.com) with the Thai backed FICO Castle or their operating management company Jupiter Hotels.” In addition to this, they explain, “Plans are being finalised to make substantial investments throughout our portfolio of hotels to solidify our already strong reputation and enhance our trading opportunities with the developing international market.”

Privately owned Crerar Hotel Group Ltd, a hospitality company of principally owner operated hotels under the brand of Crerar Hotels (EST 2006) are pleased to announce the anticipated sale (subject to contract completion) of their entire portfolio of hotels consisting of 12 hotels in Scotland and one hotel in Yorkshire. 

  • HRH Prince Charles Visit to Thainstone House

David Mcdonald, General Manager of Thainstone House was delighted to welcome Prince Charles to the hotel on 13th June 2017.  Prince Charles attended a Fishing into the Future training programme at Thainstone House, a programme that is a fisherman-led scheme dedicated to making fisheries management more sustainable.  View the media coverage here>>

  • Funding for Lifelites

If you have three minutes, then please watch this video, featuring the amazing 'Eyegaze' technology, which Crerar Hotels Trust has been able to support, via a grant of £10,046. General Manager of Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa, Mark Starkey and his proud team visited the Lifelites Centre in Wetherby to see this magical technology being put to use, helping out terminally ill and disabled children at Martin House Children's Hospice. Mark later remarked that, "It was incredible to see how technology can give children the opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have."

Crerar Hotels Trust is only able to help charities like Lifelites because of the patron of our loyal customers. Up to 50% of our guest's custom is donated to charity and community projects across the country.
