Situated on the River Tay, our estate grounds are great for outdoor activities and exploring with your dog. Dunkeld and the surrounding Perthshire woods are packed with forest and riverside dog walks. Explore nearby Pinecone Point or The Hermatige with towering Douglas Firs of Big Tree Country as your companions.

 On your next dog-friendly break in Perthshire, there are plenty of outdoor spaces and walking routes to explore. Please be mindful of roaming wildlife, especially on our grounds, where rabbits, squirrels and a herd of deer make the estate their home.

Your Dog's Stay

We host all travelling pups in the General Wade bedrooms & Suites and the Fisherman’s cottage Suites, with a maximum of two dogs per room. Each room is provided with a dog bed, bowl, and treat. 

In order to clean up the extra dog hairs left behind by your furry friend, we charge an additional £25 per dog, per evening.

Doggy Rules - The Bare Bones

  • We ask that you keep your humans on a lead while in public areas
  • We have a dedicated dining area for you in The Bar when you and your humans get hungry.
  • Not eating but want to relax? Join us in The Lounge.
  • If you need a lie-down, we ask that you keep your humans on the furniture and you take prime position by the fires or the comfy rugs.
  • Keep the barks down.

We would not recommend this, since your dog in an unfamiliar environment, they may behave unpredictably. However, as our hotel’s bar, lounge, and grounds are dog-friendly, you can instead take them with you throughout your stay.
