Whether you take your dog along the Salmon Ladder or through the Faskally woodlands, the area is packed with forest and riverside dog walks. If you'd like to adventure further, Ben Vrackie offers breath-taking views across the town and beyond. Your Dog's Stay
Furry friends are welcome in the Woodland Lodge, Room, & Suites, along with the Lochside Lodge. These rooms are ideal for dog stays as they have patios or balconies with direct access to grassy areas.
We can accommodate a maximum of two dogs per room; if you wish to bring more, we recommend you call us in order to discuss further options.
In order to clean up the extra dog hairs left behind by your furry friend, we charge an additional £25 per dog, per evening.
Doggy Rules - The Bare Bones
- We ask that you keep your humans on a lead while in public areas.
- Please note that dogs are not allowed in the main castle hotel. Sadly, there is no space for dogs in the lounge, the brasserie, Sandemans, or the reception.
- Dogs are allowed on the downstairs outside terrace and in the Dining Pods; however, please note that these must be booked in advance for a fee.

Pitlochry is an incredible place to explore with your pet. Whether you are looking for relaxing walks on the riverside, adventurous hikes up to Corbett summits, or shopping strolls through the village centre, there is plenty to keep you and your pet entertained.
