Glencoe Inn celebrates five gold star AA rating at their luxurious self-catering cottage in Glencoe, Scotland

Glencoe Inn, part of the Scottish hospitality group, Crerar Hotels, has achieved an AA five gold star rating for their self-catering accommodation, Island View House, making it the only five-star AA-rated self-catering business in Glencoe.

Looking for 5 star self-catering in Scotland? The luxurious cottage which first opened its doors in the summer of 2021 received the gold, five-star self-catering status following a visit from judges in January 2022.

The five-bedroom accommodation sleeps up to ten guests and takes advantage of the best of both worlds as guests can enjoy the privacy of the luxurious house with spaces such as a lounge with a log fire, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor hot tub and garden, with views of Loch Leven, while also enjoying the comfort of the facilities of the neighbouring Glencoe Inn with lounges, restaurants and Hidden Garden Spa area.

The prestigious rating awarded Island View House with an overall merit score of 92 per cent whilst inspectors commented on the general aesthetics of the accommodation.

They said: “Island View House is a very well-presented property with quality décor, flooring, fixtures and fittings. The public areas are very good with a well-appointed kitchen with quality appliances as well as fixtures. The hot tub as well as the garden seating and BBQ also add value.”
