Oban Bay Hotel Launches Coastal Clean Up Ahead of Clipper Round The World Yacht Race Whilst Raising Funds For RNLI

Oban Bay Hotel is rallying the local community to volunteer in a beach clean-up in anticipation of the prestigious Clipper Round the World Yacht Race which is arriving in town on 10^th July.

The goal is to ensure Oban’s famous coastline appears its absolute best for the influx of global spectators, while simultaneously raising crucial funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The four-star hotel, which is part of the Crerar Hotels Collection, is calling on locals, families and businesses to offer their time and support its eco efforts on the 5^th July. In addition to the beach clean, the initiative will also serve as a fundraising drive for RNLI, a charity close to the hearts of the Oban community.

To thank the community for their dedication, and celebrate the arrival of the yacht race, Oban Bay Hotel will be turning up the heat with two events. The hotel will host a welcome BBQ on 10^th July as the Clipper race participants and spectators arrive, followed by a farewell BBQ on the 19^th July to send everyone off in a true Scottish hospitality style.

Locals and visitors are welcome to attend each of the events to enjoy the front-row atmosphere, great food, and celebrate Oban’s vibrant coastal community together.
