Thainstone House welcomes Sayan Bandyopadhyay as its new Head Chef
The Inverurie hotel announces appointment and a brand-new menu-
Thainstone House, the 18th-century country house hotel located in the heart of Inverurie, has welcomed a new Head Chef as well as an exciting brand-new menu.
The hotel’s food and beverage offering has had a shake up thanks to Sayan Bandyopadhyay who has started as Head Chef and joins the team with more than 20 years’ experience.
Before starting his new role at Thainstone House Hotel, Sayan opened and operated two brand-new hotels in Aberdeen, The Hilton Aberdeen TECA and The Aloft Aberdeen TECA in 2019. Before this, he worked at Doubletree by Hilton, Crown Plaza and The Balmoral Hotel, to name but a few.
The hotel, which is part of the Crerar Hotels Collection, is home to the AA Rosette The Green Lady restaurant, and the relaxed Stockman’s Bar, which has recently reopened with a refreshed menu.
Set against warm and welcoming interiors, guests in Stockman’s can enjoy highlights from the new menu such as classic Scottish favourite Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, or a delicious Whisky and Oak Smoked Salmon, next to a roaring log fire, making it the perfect spot for the coming winter months.
Natalie Malcolm, General Manger said: “I thrilled that Sayan has started at Thainstone House. Relaunching Stockman’s with a new relaxed menu has received great feedback so far and we are positive that the new menu will go down well with both hotel guests and locals. We also have a calendar of events at the hotel throughout December, so I am looking forward to welcoming more people to reexperience Thainstone House.”
Thainstone House Hotel is set to host several festive experiences within The Green Lady restaurant and Stockman’s Bar, including Festive Afternoon Tea and Breakfast with Santa, as well as Christmas party nights and a Hogmanay Gala Ball.
