Open fires, rich tones and stone walls set the scene from breakfast to dinner. We source seafood, meats and produce, locally whenever possible, to reflect and celebrate each season. From West Coast Langoustines in the bar to Champagne afternoon tea in the lounge or a Josper-grilled steak dinner - quality and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. Dine at our restaurant in Inveraray and enjoy beautiful loch views as you indulge in our carefully crafted dishes.
Tipping Our Team
Most of our guests now prefer to pay via debit or credit card including a charge for great service . To make this easier we have added an automatic service charge - we’ve made it a default 10% and you can change it to any level you wish including no service charge.
Our teams have always shared service charge and this is no different - every penny you might want to give is shared equally by our teams through our “Fair Fund”. There is no administration cost or anything retained by the company, what you may give is guaranteed to go to 100% to our team.
Service charge is entirely optional, if you would like us to remove it, you need only ask.
Our Spanish Josper charcoal-fired grill achieves temperatures of over 400ºC to deliver an exceptional texture and flavour to our grill menu. Local seafood is served alongside prime Scottish beef.
With some of the finest seafood on our own doorstep, our chefs are in their element when it comes to producing the dinner delights for waiting diners. One of many local suppliers is Loch Fyne Oysters and when in season you will often find them on the menu. Our Scottish Buccleuch beef is farm-assured, while our steaks are traditionally matured for a minimum of 28 days to ensure maximum flavour, tenderness and quality. Lammermuir Luing beef and red deer venison from our Crerar Home Farm also feature on our menus. Our Spanish Josper charcoal-fired grill achieves temperatures of over 400ºC to deliver an exceptional texture and flavour to meat dishes.
With a relationship going back many years, our wines are supplied to us by wine merchants De Burgh.
Guests start the day with a full Scottish breakfast or a light continental choice.
A light breakfast of fruits, cereals, yoghurts, toast with Scottish butter and jams, coffee and a selection of teas. Or all of the above and a menu that includes Eggs Benedict, cinnamon French toast, peat smoked salmon, Finnan haddie and our house plate of smoked back bacon, farm egg, highlander sausage, haggis, Charles Macleod Stornoway black pudding and a grilled tomato. The vegetarian house plate has vegetarian sausage.
We feel very fortunate to find the finest seafood – oysters, lobster, langoustines, sea bass – all on our doorstep. We work with local farms, suppliers and artisan producers as much as we can to bring together the best of the area and the season to showcase on our menus.
Our Boardroom, Waterfront Room and Club Room easily adapt to all kinds of celebrations, special occasions and private dining. Our team puts together a hand-picked menu, bespoke table setting and room décor for important birthdays, anniversaries or festive gatherings.
