As well as short breaks over Christmas and Hogmanay, we offer a selection of winter dining events. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a special afternoon tea, you can expect sophistication and sparkle. The chef’s festive dishes are thoughtfully created to combine charm and decadence with choice.
A magnificent mansion house year round, the Christmas period really brings out the magic at Thainstone House. Our elegant venue is always a popular choice for treats and celebrations, but during the festive season our finesse shines through.
Christmas Break
24th - 27th of December, 2026
Whether you join us for two or three nights over Christmas, you'll be sure to enjoy the wonders of our Thainstone House hospitality during your stay on our bed and breakfast rate.
We will be hosting festive dining options throughout your stay, should you wish to upgrade to join us:
- 3-course festive dinner on Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day lunch
- Festive Afternoon Tea & Quiz on Boxing Day
Please note that all dining options are additional to your room charge.
Hogmanay Break
30th December - 1st January, 2027
Celebrate in style as we bring in the New Year with a Hogmanay Break at Thainstone House.
Pop on your finest attire as we host a 5-course dinner with an arrival Prosecco to say farewell to another year. Complete with pipers at the bells, this will be a truly Scottish celebration for you to enjoy.
Feast, and be merry throughout your stay with a cosy and comforting end to 2026.
Festive Getaway Without the Fuss
Not looking for the full Hogmanay package? Book onto our bed and breakfast only rate, and settle in for a two night stay from 30th December until 1st January to help keep you comfortable over the festivities.
Festive Celebrations and Christmas Parties
Get into the Christmas spirit in style, enjoying entertainment, decadent dining and dancing. We have a selection of Festive experiences for the whole family, from party nights to Breakfast with Santa.
Your night is inclusive of room hire, a glass of fizz on arrival, festive table decorations, dining and entertainment.

A 10% deposit will be required at the time of booking which in non-refundable. The full balance for all reservations will automatically be taken 12-weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within 12-weeks of arrival will require full payment at the time of booking. All deposits paid are non-refundable & non-transferable.
We highly recommend that your own suitable travel insurance is in place at the time of booking.
